03/25/05 - Biking in Detroit
With it being Good Friday, the LC's were closed so that you could spend time with your family and pray to Jesus or something...well Donnie & I were going to drink & eat meat regardless if the Canadian government wasn't having it. So with this in mind we needed to make a 40 run to some ghetto liquor mart in the D. Since it was 4pm at this point we decided to bring our bikes and ride for a bit as well.
A good way to know your in Detroit...a dope car on blades.
Unfortunately, another way to know your in Detroit - dealing with security. Since the Super Bowl was allotted to Detroit in 2006; Kwame has been trying to clean up that shithole by building $10 million dollar fountains, buying Navigators & tearing down beautiful abandoned buildings that give the city character. I'm about to make a sticker...impeach Kwame.
After taking picture of cars and running from security we did get things done like this 180 over that white rail onto the sidewalk by Donnie.

This is the kind of thing you like to see on the way home...Donnie's shitty van with 5 lights on...and not just for effect...brake light because only the front brakes work properly, air bag because his van was stolen and they took the air bags (I think), door ajar because his passenger door is fucked and you have to close it by pressing down, check engine because his van has over 300,000 km and lastly gas light because Donnie only puts $5 in at a time so that he can say, "I don't have any gas" if he doesn't want to drive somewhere.
Just another day in the D...
