Monday, December 26th, 2005: The Lion's Head Tavern with Bart, Dillon, Dziamaarsky & Donnie.

Dziamaarsky called me on Monday night telling me that himself (about to reside in Toronto), Dillon (Kitchener) & Bart (Barrie) were drinking.  With that amount of out-of-towners how could I pass up the opportunity?  We drank a bit at Bart's and watched the new Living in Exile DVD and then headed to the Lion's Head tavern on the corner of Lauzon & Wyandotte.

Dziamaarsky wasn't prepared for going out and was rocking some mean work boots.

Old Vienna pitchers were $9.50 and we were doubling up all night.

Navi, Dziamaarsky & Dillon.

Don't e-mail or ask me about what Dziamaarsky is doing; much like Donnie's "Scouring" face in pictures; Dziamaarsky has the "anorexic" face.

The Old Vienna was definitely working & I was having a good time.

Patchy Beard Crew was in the house.

The Old Vienna was working for Dziamaarsky as well.  I have no idea what's going on here, but I couldn't stop laughing when I uploaded it.

Yep, the Old Vienna was definitely working for Dziamaarsky.

After a while I don't know what Dziamaarsky was thinking but he got this big fixation on being able to withstand a scolding lighter on the skin, some male bonding thing I think.

And don't even look at this and go wow you guys are dumb; Donnie & I both had no part of it & I was drunk as fuck.

Dillon thought it was funny & was more than willing to do it to Dziamaarsky.

But that was the big reason I didn't do it to him because I knew he would want to get me back...Bart about to pay the price.

Male bonding in effect.  I don't regret my lack of participation at all...I'm sure Donnie doesn't either.

Actually, the next time I saw Dziamaarsky he was asking me about this like, "So we just started burning each other?"  And looking very confused.

Anyway when Donnie got a call and showed up (about 30 minutes from close), Dziamaarsky was set on getting a group photo.

Left to Right: Dillon (Kitchener), Bart (Barrie), Chris (Toronto), Donnie (Windsor) & Navi (Belle River...forever!)

Donnie showed up sober to lighter burning and lots of male bonding...he said that's what he expected but I'm sure he still wasn't psyched.

So the bar closed and we got Donnie to drive us for some fast food.

The funniest part of it was that I bought 2 Big Macs.  When I went to eat them I grabbed one and pushed it towards my mouth...and the next thing I know, my hands are empty; I assumed I ate it.  So I eat the 2nd Big Mac and don't feel that full...strange.  Well anyway, Donnie returns to Dillon's to drop us off and I get out and tell him thanks.  "Drop your burger there buddy?"  Donnie says. I look and sure enough there is the entire Big Mac on the floor of his passenger side floor mat.  I realize, "Oh, that's where that burger went."

Of course, putting together the two events didn't make sense until the morning.

After all those random Dziamaarsky actions & pictures, I'm thinking that people saw this coming.

Full night of entertainment from Dziamaarsky, but overall just good times with the old boys.

Lastly, let it be said that I was pleasantly surprised with the Lion's Head Tavern; it looks like the King George on the outside but the inside was definitely a nice surprise. 8 stars from me.
