The Overview - Prior to the month of June beginning I posted on the front page that I was holding a contest where the new person to make the most posts in June on the forum would receive an all-expenses paid trip on the town (or whatever they wanted).  It looked something like this if you happened to be living in a cave for the last 2 months.

After seeing this and realizing just how easy it is to use a public-access forum;  many people began signing up and posting.  In case you weren't one of those people I created a easy-to-view table of the results for the period of June o1 - 30, 2oo4.

So after the 30 days had passed and a very close contest full of tremendous work and effort, Monaghan took the cake by a nose hair and was rewarded with an all-expenses paid night.

The Night - I arrived at Monaghan's around 9 to catch some Half-Baked and Trailer Park Boys;  to my delight Monaghan was already sucking back the Milwaukee's Best and there was a decent number of cans on the table.  Trailer Park Boys concluded and we headed on our way to JC's bonfire; the plan was to check that out and if it was good to stay, but it sucked (sorry JC) and we headed out after Monaghan and Carrico spent some quality time together.  At the starting of the night, Monaghan purchased a 6 for $ 7 Milwaukee's Best can pack, of these 6, Monaghan passed me one and Ludwig one and therefore drank 4; so en route to Chaney's Monaghan had 4 beers in him and was feeling good.  Along the way to Chaney's, Monaghan decided he was hungry, so my first purchase of the night was a Roast Beef sandwich with extra sauce at Arby's for him.  $3.54.  Monaghan fills up on roast beef on the remainder of the trip to Chaney's while the gallery (Ingram, Clarkson, Ludwig) argues about the best way to get there.  Monaghan is still hungry though and tells me that he's having duck once we get to Jade.  Any who, back to the story at hand, we get to Chaney's find that there's a 30 person wait to get upstairs but Monaghan gets us up there as soon as we walk in the door and proves that he's actually useful for something.  Chaney's was well...Chaney's, a place to get cheap whiskey and for Monaghan and company to look at eye candy.  Monaghan walked into the door and got a Rye & Coke Fishbowl, followed by a Rye & Tahiti treat fishbowl and then to finish it off a Whiskey Sour Fishbowl.  After getting our fill of whiskey we headed to the Loop as to get there before the midnight cover increase.  Monaghan seems pretty sauced, but overall he's still in good spirits and riled up, ready to go at the loop.  The Loop is pretty dead, so we wait for it to fill up.  Monaghan request a Vodka 7 single, Ingram gets me to get a double figuring that should be the end of Monaghan; boy were we wrong.  You can scroll down for drink totals but this should cover the funny parts as that's what your reading for.  Anyway, throughout drinking Monaghan lost pool to some horrible pool players, started talking to some girl that we didn't know at all (I guess he knew her, but we were just confused).  While talking to this girl, Clarkson got pissy and wanted to go, Ingram got shut down and Ludwig got hungry.  After Monaghan was falling a sleep while talking to this girl, we call it a night as were all hungry.  Monaghan stands up,  and good thing the place was empty because Monaghan bumped into the pool table, stabilized himself, then bumped into the wall, then the chair and the rest.  Finally he makes it to the top of the stairs and I pray to go he doesn't break his neck....well, he starts to go down and his brain must have been thinking faster than his feet as he started to get moving and his feet just couldn't keep up...slam into the kink in the stairs and slam into the bottom to the bouncers delight.  Our car is parked across from Chaney's so we have a couple blocks of walking..."Curb, Chain, Curb", I had to announce to Monaghan at each coming object, but he was surprisingly walking on his own, he was coherent enough to notice some girls that fancied him and he even made it down the Chaney's hill fine to Ingram's & my disappointment (don't give me the shit about being mean, remember I woke up with a swastika on my neck).  We enter the car and with intelligence let Monaghan sit in the front, I tell him to roll his window down and he doesn't make it to the Casino (approx. 2 blocks)  before he starts throwing up all over the side of my car, and you can't really pull over on Riverside so we had to  keep driving...and we did, he got fine after a couple of blocks and we drove along as he passed out.  Ludwig took pictures of him like it was his job.  Here, I saved money though as we had to drive his ass home and couldn't get Jade (Chinese food).  Along the way home Monaghan started again and we had to pull over under the Central overpass on the expressway as Ingram was getting hit with particles of "debris".  Monaghan finally finishes throwing up on the expressway and we continue our ride home until Monaghan's house and get out.  This composed of guiding Monaghan by the shoulders to the door and opening it for him and letting Ingram handle the rest.  The night wasn't a complete sham though,  Ludwig and I went back for Jade after dropping off Monaghan and salvaged the night, bitching about Monaghan...and yes, I know it was my fault for feeding him drinks; but whatever I can still complain, piss off.

Everyone's 2¢

Ingram - "Fucking hilarious, Monaghan was like, "Free stuff, I'm taking him to the cleaners."  Then he didn't even get to eat; I mean you know how much puke there was on my shirt when I got up"

Clarkson - "It was alright.  Monaghan got hammered.  Funny pictures."

Ludwig - "In a nutshell, I should say last night was ok until Monaghan wanted to stay & we wanted to go, but God smoted him & it was worthwhile."

Navi - "It was amazing.  Money well spent.  I still wish Jamal would have won instead, that would have made for an interesting night"

Monaghan - "I'm Sorry"

Conclusion - Two questions have arose from this...one) will you have another of these contests?  ... and the answer is probably, but in the winter when there is more forum action going on.  two) was it worth it?  Well how could it not be...I spent $2.64 per post made by anyone in this competition...what a joke.
